The approach to Slieve League is a twisted turning road which drops down to the Atlantic. This introduction gives a beautiful and panoramic view of Donegal Bay and its great cliffs. Slieve League is a known spot for hill climbing yet it should be mentioned that great care should be taken. One of the features that marks it fame is the noted One Mans Pass, a narrow arete about 400 metres long that leads to the summit. Another is Eagles Nest.

Encompassing are views of the Sligo Hills, the Ox Mountains, Corribinnia, the Nephin Begs, the Derryveaghs and the Bluestacks.
